Sometimes bad things happen

I've decided to speed things up a bit, so on 22 October 2014 something strange happened. I walked outside the usual, Pink rushed to the door, but she seemed a little upset. I grabbed the colar getting her ready to go on a run, it's been getting really dark outside when it's early. She was pushing me when I was trying to put the colar on her, then as soon as I got it on good she started scratching the door like she was digging a hole to get out, but she was trying to get in. We left and went to the Marina, I sat down on the grass while she was doing the same old, same old smelling the grass searching for scents. This time it was different she started running around me in circles then she viscously attacks me, she scratched my arm and I got scared. I tried getting up as fast as I could like my life depended on it, when I got up she calmed down so I looked at her and the colar was all over her legs when I was untangling it, she tried to bite me. I moved my hand as soon as I could.... I wasn't so sure about what hurt the most. The fact that she tried to attack me or that she really made me bleed. I was hurt emotionally more than I was physically. I started heading home, wondering why that happened... Wasn't sure about what was going on. When we got home I sat down outside on a chair this time and she just laid there like ..

My mom was upset when she saw me because of the scratches and blood on my arm. I decided to do some research, dogs were originally predators and their closest relatives are wolves. Another example some dogs were raised to fight for example Pit-Bulls they were raised to fight and nowadays certain people think that the dogs are scary and dangerous, it's their nature for them to fight for their lives. Dogs fighting was used for making money bets, gambling, and mostly for entertainment. who would want to see that, right? I believe it's sad how dogs will attack, fight, and kill each other, and still be expected to be nice.
I tried getting videos here, but they are so violent the age restriction won't let me.
Finally I came to the point that she didn't mean to hurt me, she was just frustrated and confused or just wanted to go smell something while I just sat there.

  1. As a pet owner, it is one of the saddest and scariest things when your own animal starts attacking you. But dogs, just like humans, get frustrated. You seemed to have handled the situation well though (:

  2. I like how you researched why was your dog doing that. I personally feel like maybe the weather change had might effected your dog.

  3. Sometimes, animals lash out if they are hurt or in pain. Did you check to see if all was normal. Perhaps she was ill? How long have you had her?

  4. It is sad how dogs are used for fighting each other, especially for money. My sister was once attacked by a dog because the dog had been beaten, but it's weird how your dog attacked you. Hope you're okay(:
